Tahiti has a way of living up to everything you've heard about it, and then quietly surprising you besides. I've put together this 7-night sailing aboard Windstar's Star Breeze because an all-suite yacht is an especially comfortable way to move among these islands while still reaching the intimate harbors and lagoons that make French Polynesia so memorable. You'll spend your days moving between Raiatea, Taha'a, Bora Bora, Huahine, and Moorea, with an overnight stay in Bora Bora built right into the schedule, so you're not rushing off the island just as the evening gets good.

Star Breeze
Star Breeze pairs the personal atmosphere Windstar is known for with the space of an all-suite yacht, and I think that's the right kind of ship for this itinerary. She carries just 312 guests and 204 international crew, so service feels attentive without the crowds of a large cruise ship. Every accommodation is a suite of at least 277 square feet — depending on the category, you'll have a large picture window, portholes, or a French-style balcony — plus comfortable living space and thoughtful Windstar touches.

An Evening You Won't Get on a Bigger Ship
Because Star Breeze stays overnight in Bora Bora, your group is invited to a private beach evening on one of the small motu (islets) that ring the lagoon — a welcome with a fresh flower lei, a beachside dinner prepared by Windstar's chef, and traditional Polynesian fire dancing once the sun goes down. It's scheduled so you can still fit in a shore excursion earlier that same day.
Gracious All-Suite Accommodations
Every accommodation aboard Star Breeze is a suite, with at least 277 square feet of space. Your queen bed features Egyptian cotton linens and can be separated into twins in many categories. Depending on the category selected, suites offer portholes, large picture windows, or a French-style balcony.
Expect a full-size tub or spacious shower, L'Occitane bath products, waffle-weave robes and slippers, fresh fruit, a personal safe, mini-refrigerator, flat-screen television, and nightly turn-down service with 24-hour room service.

Onboard Dining
Dining aboard Star Breeze is open seating, so you choose when and with whom you'd like to eat. All dining venues are included in your cruise fare.
- Amphora – destination-inspired American and European cuisine served course by course at dinner
- Veranda – indoor and outdoor breakfast and lunch, with buffet and full-service choices
- Star Grill – casual outdoor dining with grilled and barbecued favorites at lunch and dinner
- Candles – Windstar's romantic open-air dinner under the stars (reservations requested onboard)
- Basil + Bamboo – Windstar's Mediterranean-and-Asian specialty dining concept, with inventive shareable dishes
- Yacht Club Café – smoothies, pastries, paninis, espresso and casual snacks throughout the day

A few things are handled separately from your cruise fare, and I'm happy to help you decide what's worth adding:
- Airfare, and any pre- or post-cruise hotel nights
- Transfers, unless specifically added
- Shore excursions (customized excursions can be arranged in advance)
- Spa and salon services, and medical services, if needed
- Travel protection — I always recommend reviewing a plan for a trip of this length
Best Time to Sail
August falls in Tahiti's dry season, so you can expect warm days, comfortable evenings, and generally lower humidity than you'll find later in the year — good conditions for time on deck and ashore.
Deposit & Payment
A deposit of 15% of the total reservation is due within three days of booking, with the final balance due 90 days before departure. I'll keep track of both dates for you and send reminders well ahead of time.
